John Street

All spaces i.e. studios, gallery, event, café and toilets have level access and are wheelchair accessible. The building has an accessible lift. Vehicles can drop off people with disabilities to John Street directly next to the courtyard entrance in John Street. Access into the building is through a level access courtyard with a distance of approx. 30 metres from the street into the main entrance. The accessible toilets are 10 metres level distance from the main entrance and the public events space.

John Street is 3 minutes walk from Stroud Rail Station and also from the three town centre car parks at London Rd, Church St and Merrywalks.

Access and Parking

The gallery, studios, event and cafe spaces are fully accessible.

The nearest public parking is at Stroud Rail station (3 mins walk to John St ). For people with access requirements there is a designated disabled parking place outside John St.

The Goods Shed, Station Yard, Stroud. GL5 3AP.

The Goods Shed is in Stroud Train Station car park on the town centre side. As you face the train station follow the road round to the left through the car park, and you will see the Goods Shed in front of you on the right hand side.

Access and Parking

The Goods Shed has a public car park next with designated disabled parking. The Goods Shed does not have level access and is not wheelchair accessible due to five steps in the entrance area. Assistance dogs may be taken into John Street and the Goods Shed. There is no induction loop in John Street or the Goods Shed.

SVA is a 3 minutes walk from Stroud Train Station and also from the three town centre car parks at London Rd, Church St and Merrywalks. Our main address is 4 John Street, Stroud. Glos. GL5 2HA.

Stroud is just 1.5hrs by direct train from London Paddington.
Birmingham (1hr 25mins), Bristol (1hr 20mins) & Cardiff (1hr 50mins) via Cheltenham (30 mins), Gloucester (17 mins) or Swindon (30 mins).

Driving
Bristol (45 mins), Cardiff (1 hr) Birmingham (1hr 20mins ), Oxford (1hr 15mins)

Buses
There are many local buses from nearby villages, towns and cities.
The Stroud Bus Station is located at the bottom of town by Vue Cinema and can be accessed via a lift in the Merrywalks centre.
